Living with Cancer

The health journey for people experiencing a chronic illness such as cancer can be challenging and traumatic. This is also true for people close to the cancer patient such as family members, loved-ones, friends and carers. The GRICS ‘Living With Cancer’ webpage presents information and resources as well as links to useful external websites to assist those who’s lives have been affected by cancer.

Whilst care has been taken in the development of this website and every attempt has been made to present authoritative sources where relevant, GRICS strongly encourages users of the GRICS ‘Living With Cancer’ webpage to:

• Discuss any information accessed on the internet with their health care team;
• Contact the relevant service provider directly if further information is sought or clarification on information is required.

Consumer Engagement

The GRICS Consumer Reference Group is a key component of GRICS Consumer Engagement Strategy.  Established in 2010, the Consumer Reference Group provides a welcoming and respectful forum for Gippsland consumers to meet and share experiences.  The forum also provides an opportunity for group members to contribute to the decision-making process regards service improvments initiatives overseen by GRICS.
